Ingredients
- 40g (1½oz) butter
- 2 onions, diced
- 3 apples, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces
- 400g (14oz) chestnuts, ready cooked and chopped
- 6 large prunes
- Sprig of thyme
- 5 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 6 slices crustless bread, reduced to breadcrumbs
- Seasoning
Method
1. In a medium pan slowly melt the butter, then add the onion and saute until soft and brown.
2. Mix the apple with the chestnuts, prunes, thyme, parsley and breadcrumbs, then season. Don't worry about it being crumbly.
3. Cover, allow to cool and pop in the fridge until required.
Note: Not mentioned at the recipe source, I think 2. should be mixed with 1.
