Besides renting a car from the crooked Car Rentals or taking the v expensive taxis, is there another less expensive way apart from missing the bus and having to wait 2 hours for the next one?

Try this shared service Beniconnect. I haven't used it so can't comment personally on the service. I think they have dedicated pick-up stops.
