So the cost of the journey (excluding Eurotunnel) is not to bad, but the thought of having to stop and charge every 200 miles on a long journey would put it me off full stop. I thought the batteries had a longer life than 200 miles now, but perhaps having the air con and anything else electronic plugged into the car quickens the drain on the batteries.

This was a Facebook suggestion for me this morning. Thought worth sharing it.

It may ' blow most other cars away' but you still have speed limits.
It wouldn't be my choice, even if I had the money.

The length of time needed for charging so often, and the stress of knowing whether the chargers are working or not, are more than enough to put us off. Keeping to our diesel for as long as possible. Last time out we got 900 miles to a tank full.
A lot more expensive than flying but we enjoy the drive and the experience of seeing different places.

Is that all! Lucky he didn't get done for over staying (maybe he's got an EU passport)

Then factor in how many stops and the cost of the hotel rooms.
I usually stop once at Bordeaux, twice if we arrive late in France.
Go with a full tank and refuel once.

It's going to be hard for Bullies to stop what they are so good at.
