Wizz Air To Resume Limited Flights Including Spain

I believe that only Spanish nationals and nationals from Schengen countries can fly into Spain presently ?
The article does briefly mention Easyjet - fleet grounded until June and Ryanair - resuming "large-scale flying" late June/early July.

That is the problem at the moment. With so much uncertainty, rumours abound.

Residents of Spain should be ok to travel back to their homes in Spain

There is a lot of anger with Wizz Air from those who had pre-booked flights and now can't use them. Once they schedule a flight that you have pre-booked to fly to, for instance , Spain and you are not permitted to enter Spain at the moment you are not entitled to a refund. It appears to be a deliberate ploy by Wizz not to have to pay compensation.

To be fair to Wizz, they are upholding their part of the contract. It is not their fault that the Spanish government does not allow individuals into the country. The individuals should sue the Spanish government.Bee wrote: 26 Apr 2020 21:23 There is a lot of anger with Wizz Air from those who had pre-booked flights and now can't use them. 1st May - so the first flights took off/landed today.
Herewith an article from the Daily Mail https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... Spain.html
Cannot remember any other airline mentioning about disinfecting planes specifically when flights resume, but Wizz Air will do that overnight. Not sure how effective this will be as surely the risk of contracting anything would rise throughout the day as more passengers travel on the plane.
There are some valid points in the reader's comments section after the article, such as that you cannot visit relatives in the UK but it is okay to fly to Bulgaria to do the same.
