Re: Electric scooter rules and the different fines
That's good news B
Personally i would be glad to see them banned, they are an absolute menace on the roads, just another danger for motorists to be aware of
The idiots have been leaving them on the footpaths where i live and blocking access , and don't get me started about two to a scooter , its mainly young couples on them at night, probably going too and from the bars , and i doubt the driver is teetotal

The law will be largely ignored and the police will do nothing about it.
Whoopee, the police pulled in just nine scooters in Ramon Gallud. Must have been there all off 20 minutes !!
Are they going to sit outside the secondary schools and nab some the 'dozens of teenagers ' who use them to travel to school. I doubt it.
Yes they may be a problem in some countries like the UK, but where I live in Torrevieja, wouldn't say that they are a nuisance.
I'm more concerned with cyclists riding without front or rear lights illuminated .... even more so when it's dark.

Re: Electric scooter rules and the different fines
I feel the same BB. We were going to the Airport at 4.30am a couple of weeks ago and met 2 scooters with 2 on board each flying up a one-way road against us. We continued on and the same 2 were doing X's out on the main road with no regard for cars coming against them. Another one overtook me on the inside approaching a pedestrian crossing. Luckily there was nobody trying to cross at the time. They seem to have no concept of the rules of the road. Their motto seems to be "never stop let everyone else mind me I always havecthe right of way"
