Health Areas by town allowed to proceed to Phase1
Health Areas by town allowed to proceed to Phase1
Unfortunately the whole of Alicante Province/Comunidad Valenciana has not been allowed to proceed to Phase 1 together. Here is a link to the towns by health area who can proceed to Phase 1. The good news is Orihuela and Torrevieja Health Areas are free to proceed

Great news Bee.
But, you're right about that. How the heck do they police it ?

Re: Health Areas by town allowed to proceed to Phase1
It sounds like positive news on a local level for Torrevieja and Orihuela, but I think we need to be cautious. With regions and health areas split across phases it is likely to cause more confusion to add to that which has already been experienced as to who can do what and when during the 'lockdown'.
I think tourism leaders in Torrevieja and Orihuela will be disappointed that Alicante and Elche have not proceeded to Phase 1, and now the earliest they can will be following reassessment in 2 weeks time, at which time we could be moving to Phase 2. For tourism, we could really do with being at the same point when moving through the phases.

I think the whole thing seems to be a mess
Are there going to be road blocks to stop people coming from areas under Phase 0 to areas under Phase 1 !!

When are we going to be officially told of new rules i.e. 2 in a car? Can we use shops etc in a different village? All still a bit vague.

Now it will all depend on random checks by the police who are probably confused themselves--
Just a thought for bar owners--it has got to be more economic for them to organize their patios in socially distanced tables of 10 --got to be the best way to maximize occupancy---surely better than tables for 2/4/6 socially distanced as this will eat into floor space--- Everyone in a bar is a friend

You will know later today a bulletin will be issued
Re: Health Areas by town allowed to proceed to Phase1
Phase 1 travel by car which was announced last week for Canary Islands will probably be the same for those going into Phase 1 on Monday. Basically People from the same household can travel in the same car without wearing masks. If you give your neighbour a lift then the occupancy number changes and you have to wear masks. You can drive around the Phase 1 areas to visit family and friends, go to a restaurant/bar, go shopping, medical appointments.
Only Bulletin published so far is from the Minister for Health and that outlines conditions for opening Hotels and Tourist Accommodation, Bars Restaurants, Sports Facilities, Schools & Universities - admin only - Fishing/hunting Industry- commercial only, Markets etc

I doubt if any will bother george. The overheads are more or less the same if you twenty tables or ten tables but you have only half the income.george wrote: 09 May 2020 11:39Yes JamesB---just when you think it cant get any more confusing and ridiculous-----Sanchez pulls another rabbit out of the hat !!!!JamesB wrote: 09 May 2020 07:37 I think the whole thing seems to be a mess

You may know of some yourself but many restaurants in the Playa Flamenca area have said on Facebook that the wont be opening during May and will not until they deem it safe to.
Some are doing delivery service which we have tried but crispy spring rolls don`t travel well
