Ingredients
- 450g turkey thigh mince
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 10g fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 burger buns, halved, cut side toasted
- 4 slices Cheddar or Red Leicester
Method
1. Preheat a barbecue to a medium - high heat. In a large bowl, mix the turkey mince, egg, garlic, parsley, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Using your hands, form the mixture into 4 flat patties.
2. Brush the burgers with the oil and grill on the barbecue for 10 minutes, turning halfway, until cooked through (or heat the oil in a medium frying pan over a medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 10 minutes, turning halfway). Add a slice of cheese to the top of each for the final 1 minute of cooking time.
3. Sandwich the patties in between the toasted buns. Serve with your choice of condiment and red onion, tomato and cucumber slices, if liked.
