Learn something new everyday. Never realised there was an observation deck in Avenida de Torrevieja, overlooking the park towards the salt lake.

I didn't either. There is one also at the end of Avenida Cortes Valenciana as you take sliproad down to the N332 going north near the Policia Local office. Not sure if it is open now.

Found a link from 2022 and I don't think anything has happened since

Just had a quick Google, alot of back history to that piece of land, for all the wrong reasons.

Back in 2007 the now Policia Local office was opened as a new Tourist Information office.

Over the two decades one mayor had a vision of a boat being located on the site to welcome visitors to Torrevieja. Anyway, fast forward to last year and as the land falls within the La Hoya sector, the developers on the La Hoya residential development have assumed responsibilty for completing the green works on the land.
