Google translate:

Medical services have tried to revive him, without success.

The beaches of Alicante province have recorded another death by drowning in the final stretch of the bathing season. A man died on the afternoon of Sunday, October 19, at Les Roquetes beach in Guardamar del Segura, according to the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).

The incident occurred just after 2 p.m., when the CICU received a call that a man had been pulled from the water at Les Roquetes beach in Guardamar and was unconscious.

A Basic Life Support (BLS) unit was dispatched to the scene, whose paramedics performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other life support techniques, but there was no response and his death was confirmed.

At this time, the CICU has not confirmed the age of the deceased.

-----

Reported by Levante that the deceased was a 84 year old Polish national on holiday with his family in Guardamar.

According to the Last paragraph of the Levante article, there were some disrespectful fellow bathers:
Security forces have asked the media to be respectful while they attempted to conduct their reporting and capture images, as the family members were on the same beach. However, bathers were taking videos and photos of the deceased with their cell phones and were willing to swim just a few meters from the shore where the body was already buried.
I think they probably mean covered, not buried.

He most likely didn't drown. He probably suffered a heart attack if he was 84. RiP. As for taking the phones out and videoing. Thats the first reaction nowadays before even calling for help. Sad people out there.
