Vive Plan (subsidised housing) - Torrevieja

#1

Post: # 53841Post Carl »

A presentation was made whilst the president of the Valencian Government was in Torrevieja for the opening of Paseo del Mar to announce the construction 36 homes under the Vive Plan in La Mata.

The article contains a link specific to the vive developments in Torrevieja - http://www.planvivetorrevieja.es/

The website currently shows four developments, with map references for three of them:

1. R17 (220 units) - La Hoya - between the Quiron Hospital and the music Auditorium

2. R27a (206 units) - La Hoya - between Calle Jose Carreras and N332, by the La Hoya/N332 bridge

3. R31 (360 units) - location not given

4. R52a (36 units) - La Mata - between Ronda Jose Samper Garcia and Calle Celindo

The number of units for R31 looks to be, roughly, the balance of vive properties to be built at La Hoya. The figure previously reported for La Hoya was 775, R17 + R27a + R31 = 786.

I was looking at the regulations for people applying for these subsided rental properties and they have a high bar to overcome as regards income. People may have read of the scandal in Alicante city over the people who were awarded apartments in one such scheme in a very upmarket part of the city. They were all Council officials and their children and close relatives. There is still an enquiry taking place. Will Torrevieja be any different.
