But instead we had British Police taking over the investigation of a missing English girl in a foreign country and wasting nearly 12 millions pounds and thirteen years and being in the exact same spot on 14 June 2020 as they were on 3 May 2007 ... which is absolutely fecking nowhere.

Nice work if you can get it !!

And always on the verge of an arrest in a few weeks time.

Yes of course, or they have discovered yet another person of interest or following a new line of enquiry.

Just name the year, take your pick, because it applies to any one of them.

Taken from the Daily Telegraph 5 June 2019....

Scotland Yard detectives have been granted an extra £300,000 to continue the hunt for missing Madeleine McCann for another year, the Home Office has indicated.
The Metropolitan Police asked for the extra funding in order to explore a number of outstanding leads identified during its Operation Grange investigation.
The extra funding is expected to allow the investigation to continue for at least another 12 months.

So what happened to the `outstanding leads ' as nothing more was ever heard about them. Just taking the p*ss out of the taxpayer and nobody in authority ever questions it, but then nobody ever has, just give, give, give.

JamesB - as was pointed out earlier on this thread ( by Jimny1 ) , it's like groundhog day.
Every year , without fail - the McCann's are asking for more money.
Always a new lead ( bo@@ocks).
The Met police seem happy to go along with this charade .
But , it's the taxpayer funding the bill.
With 80% of the British public, believing that the McCann's are involved ( in some way), with Maddies disappearance - this has to stop.

The problem for me is if she walked out, or someone just took her, why did forensics find blood under the tiles , 15 out of 17 peaks from matching her DNA 100%, then the dog issue
I can only conclude it was an accident, and because of the implications, even being an accident, that would result in some kind of punishment for the mccanns, they tried to cover it up, disposing of her body so it couldnt be examined to find any sleep related drugs in her body
The idea she woke up, went to the settee, climbed up to look out of the window, slipped , fell, and hit her head fatally on the ceramic tiles seems a more sane scenario
To me it never even entered my mind they murdered her, i have a daughter myself, and that to me is difficult to believe, that they are covering up a tragic accident is more feasible, remember someone said they saw a figure that resembled gerry carrying a small bundle in his arms
Otherwise we would be talking about two monsters and not parents
Then it would make sense the reason they seem so confident when answering questions, they know they are not murderers, just guilty of perverting the course of justice, and would explain why they refuse to take lie detector tests
It thats the eventual conclusion, it still doesnt exonerate them from the 13 years of deceit , but at least we wouldnt be looking at murderers , just two parents unable to mourn the death of their child
Yes, more food for thought jimny 1.

I'm a great fan of reading about forensics and true crime in general, and this must be the most longest, strangest, convoluted and expensive investigation into a missing child in history !!!

Heres the latest on the case
https://uk.yahoo.com/news/madeleine-mc- ... 46574.html
The comments make good reading

The lawyers of the german say he is not talking until they show proof he was involved, the same as the Mccanns , as its law to have to show evidence they were involved first before any case can be brought against them
Also this
"Portuguese police are said to be considering searching abandoned wells near a farmhouse rented by Christian B on the outskirts of Praia da Luz in the hope of finding clues into Madeleine’s disappearance, The Times said."

All this should extend the investigation for at least another year until the next suspect is found

As I predicted, the case against Christian Brueckner will disappear into thin air and was destined to do so from day one.
The inept German prosecutors have not, and have never had, any evidence against him whatsoever, in spite of the forum's ' odd exception ' saying quite confidently, after studying the non existent evidence for a whole 13 minutes .. " `ee dunnit wiv an 'ammer"

The damning circumstancial evidence consisted of someone overhearing him say something to someone in bar, to one of his ex-girlfriends who said he deliberately burnt her toast.. callous b*astard.. and the girl who was unfortunately tied up raped and said her attacker had two arms and two legs .. well so has Christian Brueckner . !!
But the clincher was that the German Prostitutors disccovered that he was actually on the same planet as Madeline when she disappeared.
What are the chances of that .. Gott in Himmel !!!

And yes jimny1 ..The Keyston Cops will get another years holiday in Portugal out of this because the British Establishment will make sure
... in spite of the public outcry.

Maybe they can dig up that dead tractor driver .. what year was he suspect .. .

More absolute rank rubbish and why this is getting so much media attention and credence is beyond me.

Most parents of a missing child presumed dead want to know if it`s dead or not.. not how it died before before being told it's dead -.. or in this case there's no positive proof that the child is dead anyway...!!
